Lot of Vintage Holiday Inn Honeymoon Souvenirs from 1960
Includes:
Two matchbooks (one inscribed “11-12-60”)
One bar of hotel soap (Cashmere Bouquet)
One cast iron souvenir ashtray with original box (box has been inscribed with the above date)
These items have been lovingly stored for almost 60 years.  All are new and unused, aside from the inscribed honeymoon date.
The cast iron skillet ashtray is 3″ at its widest point.  It was manufactured by the Wilton Products company of California, and has been hand lettered to read “MEMORIES OF YOUR HONEYMOON AT HOLIDAY INN.”
The matchbooks are unused; the interior advertising refers to the Holiday Inn of Appleton, Wisconsin and highlights “Sensational Food & Beverages Served in “COACH LIGHT” Atmosphere In The Lamp-Lighter.”
The back of both the soap and matchbooks list the many spiffy Holiday Inn amenities guest could enjoy.
